Wade Sheffer was named Managing Director effective April 1, 2018.
Prior to this appointment, Wade was Executive Director of Chassis Purchasing with responsibility for procuring chassis components and subsystems worldwide for General Motors.
Wade joined GM in 1996 as a Test Engineer in the Structural Test Lab at the Milford Proving Ground. In 1999, he transitioned to the North America Outbound Logistics quality team. While on international assignment in Germany from 2002–2005, Wade assisted with the implementation of Vector SCM, a 4th party logistics joint venture.
He repatriated to the U.S. in 2005 and was appointed Global Commodity Manager for Vehicle Infotainment. Wade relocated to Shanghai, China, in 2006 where he was named Deputy Executive Director at Shanghai General Motors (SGM) in charge of purchasing.
In 2009, Wade returned to the U.S. where he held various leadership positions in Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, which included leading the service components and accessories procurement for GM dealerships globally in his role as Purchasing Executive Director, GM Customer Care & Aftersales.
Wade received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1996 and earned a Master of Science in engineering with a focus on management of technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2000.
