Shobhit Gupta was promoted to Senior Associate in February, 2024 after joining the GM Ventures team as an Associate in June, 2022.

Shobhit has been instrumental in structuring and analyzing investments in Clean-tech, B2B Software and Energy Infrastructure segments at GMV.

Prior to joining GMV, Shobhit led internal debt and equity investments in GM’s global entities and new clean-tech automotive segments such as BrightDrop and Cruise working in Corporate Finance at General Motors Treasury. Previously, he supported a Private Equity team in making investments in the light manufacturing sector.

Earlier in his career, Shobhit spent several years in structural engineering and design practice in real estate development lending his expertise in design and construction of large-scale mid- and high-rise buildings on the U.S. East Coast.

Shobhit earned a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Delhi Technological University and M.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Shobhit holds an MBA from University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
